Gütersloh Introduces Digital Long-Term Parking Permit Application
Starting from September 19, 2025, the city of Gütersloh has introduced a new digital procedure for the application of long-term parking permits in Zone IV. This marks a significant step towards modernizing the city's services and enhancing convenience for its citizens.
The digital application process is fully operational and can be accessed via the city's citizen portal. Registration for the online parking permit application process is done through the BundID, a secure digital identity system in Germany.
Once registered, citizens can apply for their parking permits by uploading their ID and vehicle registration certificate digitally. The fees for a parking permit in Zone IV are 180 euros for six months and 360 euros for twelve months. Payment can be made through direct debit, PayPal, or Giropay.
Upon successful verification, the parking permit is immediately available as a PDF download for self-printing. To ensure authenticity, a QR code has been introduced for traffic control staff to verify the permit. It is important to note that the permit is intended for self-printing only and must not be reproduced.
