HbbTV Awards 2025: Celebrating Innovation in Hybrid Broadcast TV
The HbbTV Association has unveiled plans for the eighth edition of the HbbTV Symposium and Awards, set to take place in Istanbul on 12 November 2025. The annual event will recognise excellence in hybrid broadcast broadband TV (HbbTV) innovation.
The HbbTV Awards 2025 will honour achievements in six categories: Best Advertising Innovation, Best Tool or Product, Best Technology Innovation, Best Use of HbbTV for Content Discovery, Accessibility award, and Newcomer of the Year. Entries are open until 10 October, with finalists to be announced by the end of the month.
The jury for this year's awards comprises eight members: Ophélie Boucaud, William Cooper, Merve Eraslanoğlu, Vincent Grivet, Matthew Huntington, Atila Madakbas, Annamaria Recchia, and Alex Russell. Dr. Thomas Wrede will continue his role as chairman of the HbbTV Association in 2025. Vincent Grivet, the Chairman, praised the jury lineup, highlighting the key role of HbbTV specifications in driving innovative services for leading market players.
The HbbTV Symposium and Awards 2025 promises to celebrate the best in HbbTV innovation. With a distinguished jury and diverse award categories, the event is set to recognise and encourage excellence in the field.
