Google Photos Expands AI Editing to All Users
Google Photos is expanding its AI-powered editing features. From May 15, all users will gain access to these tools, previously exclusive to Pixel phone owners and Google One subscribers.
The new AI editing suite includes Magic Editor, introduced with Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. It uses generative AI for enhancements. All users will get 10 free Magic Editor saves monthly.
Other tools like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Portrait Light will also be available. These allow users to remove unwanted objects, sharpen blurry images, and adjust lighting in portraits. Users will see a 'Edited with AI tools' note in the app details.
Pixel device owners and Google One members with a 2TB storage plan will enjoy unlimited Magic Editor saves.
Google Photos' AI-powered editing features, once limited, will now be accessible to all users. The change brings advanced enhancements, making photo editing more accessible and intuitive.
