Google introduces expressive updates from Material 3 for Find Hub

The Google Find Hub app on Android has received a significant update, version 3.1.399-3, bringing a fresh look and improved usability in line with the latest Material You design principles. As of August 2025, the update is now widely available via the Google Play Store for download.

One of the key changes in this update is the adoption of Material 3 Expressive guidelines. The bottom navigation bar has been shortened, and the icons now become filled-in when their tab is selected, providing a clearer visual indicator of the active section.

In the map view, device pins are significantly larger across all zoom levels, improving visibility, especially when the background is busy. The back button has also been changed from a circular shape to being placed inside a pill-shaped container.

App sheets now feature more rounded corners, consistent with Material 3 Expressive styling. Additionally, some pages within the app have larger, wider buttons, such as when locating Bluetooth or UWB tags, to better emphasize functions like the Ring volume button.

Other notable changes include the introduction of AirNotch and AirCard Pro as new favourite Find Hub trackers for Android. The bottom bar icon in the Find Hub app is now filled-in when a tab is currently selected, and device pins in the map view are now larger at all zoom levels.

Pebblebee's 'Alert Live' feature has also been added to Find Hub trackers, enabling live location sharing subscriptions. Meanwhile, the Moto Tag app update is now installing UWB firmware, a development that is rolling out widely.

This update aims to enhance usability and align with Google’s latest design principles, focusing on clearer icon states, better visibility, and softer UI elements.
