Fundraising Success for DePIN Project Beamable: Series A Round Headed by Bitkraft Yields $13.5 Million
In a significant move to challenge the dominance of centralised hyperscalers in the gaming industry, Beamable, a decentralized physical infrastructure network for games, has secured a $13.5 million Series A round led by Bitkraft Ventures.
The Beamable Network aims to provide a more cost-effective and robust alternative to traditional server platforms, enabling games to run on a community-powered system of decentralized nodes. This transition reduces dependence on large cloud providers like AWS or Azure.
The network's technology and built-in demand, combined with the disruptive potential of DePIN (Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Network), represents an unparalleled opportunity for game developers. The Beamable Network will support developers across both Web2 and Web3, with the goal of revolutionising videogame infrastructure with its decentralized principles and proven platform success.
Key features of Beamable’s approach include out-of-the-box backend services, developer ownership, a network of decentralized nodes, NFT-based checker nodes for community participation, and lower operating costs. These features aim to dismantle the traditional reliance on hyperscalers by creating a decentralized network infrastructure tailored for game development and live service deployment.
