Looks like the cat is out of the bag! The Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed the sneaky attempt by scammers to nab a hefty sum of 15 million rubles from Wildberries users. Thankfully, their plans were foiled, as reported on the Department's Information Technology Crime Prevention Division's official Telegram channel.

The criminals, using devices infected with malicious software, aimed to gain access to Wildberries users' accounts by disguising their malicious files as photo archives in messengers. The smart cookie company of Wildberries and Russ, however, caught wind of these activities, swiftly identifying and blocking the attempts.

As it turns out, the Department's state-of-the-art tech saved the day by detecting a two-level protection system using AI. According to the Department, the system compared the behavior of the suspicious devices with real users, allowing it to nab 99.9% of the scammers' purchases!
