Ford Appoints Todd Willing as Head of Global Design

Ford Motor Company has announced the promotion of Todd Willing to the position of Head of Global Design, effective from August 27. Willing will now oversee the design for Ford and Lincoln vehicles worldwide.

Willing, who is currently based in southeastern Michigan, has been with Ford since 2003. He has played a significant role in shaping iconic Ford vehicles, having worked on the design of the 2007 Ford Mondeo, 2009 Ford Fiesta, 2010 Ford Focus, and various Ford Trucks and SUVs.

In his past assignments, Willing worked in Japan, Germany, England, and Australia. He served as global design director for Ford Trucks and SUVs, overseeing the F-150, Super Duty, Ranger, Bronco, Maverick, Explorer, and Expedition vehicle lines.

Willing was also the exterior chief designer for the 2017 Ford GT and previously held the position of global design director for Model e.

Anthony Lo stepped down as Chief Design Officer for Ford in May after three years in the position. No information was provided about who will replace Lo in his previous position or specifically for Ford Trucks and SUVs. Lo's departure was announced on a LinkedIn post.

The press release did not provide information about Willing's current role or responsibilities beyond his promotion to head of Ford design.

This promotion marks a significant move for Ford as Willing brings his extensive experience and global perspective to the table. The company looks forward to seeing the innovative designs that will come from Willing's leadership.
