Fermi America Makes History With Dual Listing, Valued at $13.8 Billion

Fermi America, a pioneering energy company, has made history with its dual listing on the London Stock Exchange and Nasdaq. This significant milestone, valued at $13.8 billion, is the first of its kind this century and one of the largest in LSE history. The company aims to revolutionize AI infrastructure by developing robust power systems for the future.

Founded in January 2025 by former US Energy Secretary Rick Perry and CEO Toby Neugebauer, Fermi America has swiftly gained momentum. Its flagship project, Project Matador in Amarillo, Texas, spans an expansive 5,236 acres and is designed to deliver up to 11 gigawatts of low-carbon power. This ambitious venture combines nuclear, natural gas, solar, battery, and utility grid sources, set to become one of the largest nuclear power complexes in the USA.

The dual listing, led by Haynes Boone's London and Dallas teams, includes a $682.5 million equity fundraising. When Fermi's shares began trading on Nasdaq, they opened 19% above the offer price at $25, giving the firm a $14.8bn valuation. This successful debut is a testament to the company's growing influence in global capital markets.

Fermi America's dual listing is not just a financial achievement but a strategic move towards its mission of transforming AI infrastructure. With its innovative power systems and robust projects like Project Matador, the company is poised to make a significant impact on the energy landscape. As it continues to grow, Fermi America is setting new benchmarks in the industry, both in the US and internationally.
