Theory Professional Debuts Premium SR Series Loudspeakers at InfoComm 2025

Theory Professional, a leading audio brand specializing in sound reinforcement applications, is introducing a new line of passive and powered SR Series loudspeakers at InfoComm 2025. These eight multi-purpose loudspeakers and subwoofers are designed to cater to the high-end market demand for compact, versatile, and high-output audio solutions suitable for both installed and portable applications.

Manufactured in the U.S., the SR Series loudspeakers offer an exceptional blend of lively dynamics, high maximum output level, and refined acoustic performance. By raising the performance bar, not only in terms of accuracy of the reproduced sound but also in sheer output capability, Theory aims to set a new standard in the sound reinforcement industry. Despite their powerful capabilities, these speakers boast a surprisingly compact design that won't detract from aesthetics— they can be installed discreetly in tight locations.

The SR Series has been thoughtfully designed, featuring ergonomic handles, multiple fly points, industry-standard mount points, and pole cups. Available in black and white, passive or active versions depending on the installation need, these speakers also offer optional custom paint matching and weatherizing (for passive versions only).

For easy installation, optional accessories such as the Theory SplitYoke Multipurpose Mounting Brackets are available. This bracket kit allows for hassle-free mounting of the smaller SR Series loudspeakers on various surfaces – wall, ceiling, floor (as a monitor), and more. Larger SR Series models can be made portable in an instant with an intelligent Caster Kit and Dolly Board. This feature, ideal for DJs, corporate venues, hospitality events, and more, enables the easy transport of mobile big, clear, full-range sound.

Below is a breakdown of the first eight SR Series models being presented at InfoComm 2025:

SR Series Loudspeakers

  • SR-46.2: This quad 6-inch, 2-way multi-use loudspeaker offers a distinctive tall but narrow profile with 120° conical coverage for broad and even sound dispersion. Available in both passive and powered versions, it includes integral pole cups, ergonomic handles, and fly and industry-standard mount points. An optional Theory SplitYoke Multipurpose Mounting Bracket Kit is available for horizontal and vertical surface mounting.
  • SR-28.2: This dual 8-inch, 2-way multi-use loudspeaker sports an 80° x 60° elliptical horn. Similar to the SR-46.2, it's available in passive and powered versions with integral pole cups, ergonomic handles, and fly and industry-standard mount points. Likewise, an optional Theory SplitYoke Multipurpose Mounting Bracket Kit is available for surface mounting.
  • SR-112.2: A single 12-inch, 2-way multi-use loudspeaker with an 80° x 60° elliptical horn, this model is available in passive and powered versions. It includes integral pole cups, ergonomic handles, and fly and industry-standard mount points, while an optional Theory SplitYoke Multipurpose Mounting Bracket Kit is also available.
  • SR-212.2: This full-range, multi-use loudspeaker features built-in subwoofers— a dual 12-inch and dual 8-inch, 3-way multiuse loudspeaker enclosed in a rugged yet refined enclosure that's only 10-inches deep. With passive and powered versions available, the SR-212.2 includes integral pole cups, ergonomic handles, and fly points. Additional options include the Theory SplitYoke Multipurpose Mounting Bracket Kit and the Theory Caster Kit for portability.

SR Series Subwoofers

  • SR-212LF: Equipped with dual 12-inch, 1,400W woofers, this high-output, compact bass-reflex subwoofer is sonically matched to the SR-46.2, SR-28.2, and SR-112.2. The SR-212LF comes with removable feet, integral pole cups, ergonomic handles, and fly points. Optional accessories include the Theory SplitYoke Multipurpose Mounting Bracket Kit and the Theory Caster Kit for portability.
  • SR-215LF: Featuring dual 15-inch, 3,600W woofers, this maximum-output, manifold bass-reflex subwoofer is sonically matched to the SR-46.2, SR-28.2, and SR-112.2. The SR-215LF offers the same peripheral components as the SR-212LF but also includes an optional Quick-Release and Standard Caster Kit, as well as a Dolly Board for portability.
  • SR-218LF: With dual 18-inch, 3,600W woofers, the SR-218LF boasts the same specifications as the SR-215LF but does not offer the Quick-Release and Standard Caster Kit or the Dolly Board.
  • SR-221LF: Featuring dual 21-inch, 3,600W woofers, the SR-221LF retains the same design as the previous subwoofers but does not offer the Quick-Release and Standard Caster Kit or the Dolly Board.

At InfoComm 2025, Theory will showcase the new SR Series in Booth 5167 and demonstrate a selection of models in Audio Demo Room W232B through a 25-minute run using AES67 audio-over-IP digital I/O. This demonstration aims to illustrate the ease of setting up and deploying complex Theory audio systems without the need for bulky analog audio cables, ensuring a painless and bullet-proof process for integrators and custom installers.
