Optus and Devo Technology Partner to Enhance Cybersecurity Services

Optus, a leading Australian telecommunications company, has announced a new partnership with Devo Technology to bolster its cybersecurity offerings. This collaboration aims to provide businesses with an advanced Managed Threat Monitoring Service, designed to protect against the ever-evolving threat landscape.

The service integrates Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), and User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA) through AI and Machine Learning. This integration allows for real-time visibility of potential network threats, enabling quick identification and response.

The automated threat monitoring system operates alongside Optus's Network Operation Centre and Security Operation Centre. It correlates and analyses logs ingested from network-connected devices and threat intelligence gathered worldwide. This data is then used to create security alert tickets in the Optus AI-enabled ITSM Nucleus platform in near real-time.

Nicky Choo, Asia Pacific Vice President of Devo, expressed that this partnership with Optus allows shared customers to maximize the Devo Security Data Platform. Mr. Choo emphasized the importance of this partnership in combating cybercrime and keeping businesses safe.

The combined system with Optus's own Network Operation Centre and Security Operation Centre aims to provide additional layers of protection to customers' cyber ecosystem. Customers can have peace of mind knowing that a team of experts is dedicated to helping them achieve their security goals.

The team can leverage automation to quickly deploy specific countermeasures. These tickets can be prioritized and triaged by Optus's Security Operation Centre, which is available 24/7.

Optus's Danny Price stated that the partnership is crucial due to the ongoing importance of cybersecurity and the need to invest in new technology. He highlighted that the protection can only be done at a telecommunications network level, underscoring the importance of this partnership.

This Managed Threat Monitoring Service is an additional investment by Optus into its security offering ecosystem for businesses. It targets Optus's enterprise and mid-market customers, offering them services and insights into their organization's security posture.

Optus partners with many of the best security vendors in the world to ensure their enterprise customers have the support they need to act quickly and identify threats. This partnership with Devo Technology is just one example of Optus's commitment to providing top-tier cybersecurity solutions.

With this new service, businesses can rest assured that they have a robust and proactive cybersecurity system in place, helping them navigate the complex and ever-changing threat landscape.
