Elon Musk resumes his habit of slumbering in meeting rooms and production facilities once more.
Article:
Following a two-hour outage on online service X, Elon Musk revealed plans to dedicate more time to his companies. The billionaire entrepreneur stated that larger operational enhancements are required, especially after the recent X operational issues exposed weaknesses in the platform's infrastructure.
Musk, who has been busy collaborating with Donald Trump's administration, will reportedly be scaling back his governmental initiatives to focus on X, artificial intelligence developer xAI, chatbot Grok, electric car maker Tesla, and space company SpaceX.
"I'm back to working round the clock seven days a week and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms," Musk disclosed, highlighting the urgent need to address operational challenges and ensure rapid implementation of crucial technologies across his businesses.
SpaceX announced plans to send its new giant rocket Starship back into space next week, following two previous failed test flights. This development serves as a secondary focus for Musk, as he addresses the operational issues at X.
The recent outage on X revealed inadequacies in the failover redundancy systems, which failed to prevent disruptions as they were intended to. As a result, significant improvements to these systems are necessary to strengthen site reliability and resilience, thus preventing similar disruptions in the future.
