Electronics company WT Microelectronics closes deal to acquire Future Electronics for a sum of $3.8 billion dollars
In a significant move for the electronic components distribution industry, WT Microelectronics has completed the acquisition of Future Electronics on April 2, 2024, for a staggering sum of US$3.8 billion.
The transaction, which was previously announced, saw WT Microelectronics, a leading global electronic components distributor, taking over the reins from Future Electronics, the acquired entity. The deal was advised by a team from our website, with Raphaël Amram leading the corporate division of the advising team.
The acquisition was a complex affair, involving various divisions within the law firm Mintz. Daniel Follansbee and Ran Zioni led the legal advisory team, while the Intellectual Property division was represented by Barry Fong and Kenza Salah. The Litigation division was overseen by Alexandre Fallon and Josy-Ann Therrien, and the Pension & Benefits division was managed by Julien Ranger and Jeremy Perron.
The Tax division was handled by Mark Brender, David Wilson, and Evan Belfer, while the Employment & Labour division was handled by Sven Poysa and Irmak Aydemir. The Privacy and Data Management division was represented by Kuljit Bhogal, and the Competition/Antitrust & Foreign Investment division was managed by Michelle Lally, Kaeleigh Kuzma, and Reba Nauth.
The International Trade division was overseen by Alan Kenigsberg, Malcolm Aboud, and Chelsea Rubin, and the Financial Services division was represented by Etienne Massicotte, Elizabeth Mpermperacis, Asma Berrak, and Lucas Colantoni. The Technology division was managed by Sam Ip and Ranish Raveendrabose, and the corporate division was handled by Jean-Philippe Bertrand, Véronique Fortin-Latreille, and Vincent Legault.
In addition, Yan Besner was part of the Real Estate division, and Sandra Sbrocchi, Chelsea Bland, and Josh Murray were part of our website Works - Transactional division.
