Electric Sport Utility Vehicle, the Lucid Gravity X Concept, Designed for Thrilling Journeys in Remote Locations
Lucid Motors has unveiled the Lucid Gravity X Concept, an off-road variant of its popular Lucid Gravity SUV, designed to combine luxury, performance, and exploration for adventure-seeking drivers. The concept vehicle will make its public debut on the Concept Lawn at the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
The Gravity X concept features a ruggedized design with improved approach and departure angles, a widened track, lifted ride height, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and tow hooks. Despite these modifications, it retains the sleek aerodynamic silhouette of the standard Lucid Gravity SUV, with bold exterior accents and a rugged satin paint finish.
According to Derek Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Design & Brand at Lucid, the Gravity X pushes the limits of what an uncompromising SUV can achieve. However, at this time, it remains a concept vehicle, and no formal production announcement has been made.
In comparison to the Rivian R1S, a well-established off-road capable electric SUV currently in production, the Lucid Gravity X represents Lucid's first public foray toward off-road adventure vehicles. While the Rivian R1S is marketed as a highly capable off-roader with proven utility features and widespread availability, the Lucid Gravity X is currently a concept highlighting potential capability, luxury, and aerodynamic sophistication rather than a ready-for-market vehicle.
