Electric Road-Ready Rally Performance Unleashed by Vauxhall Mokka GSE
Vauxhall has introduced the Mokka GSE, a rally-inspired electric SUV that sets a new standard for performance in the brand's lineup. With a 54kWh battery and an estimated range of around 200 miles per charge, the Mokka GSE promises to deliver both speed and efficiency.
Power and Performance
The Mokka GSE is equipped with a powerful 280hp (207 kW) electric motor, capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in a swift 5.9 seconds. It boasts a top speed of 124 mph, making it the fastest battery-powered Vauxhall ever revealed.
Charging Capabilities
The Mokka Electric (standard model) supports up to 100kW DC fast charging, enabling a charge from zero to 80% in about 30 minutes. It can also fully recharge overnight at home using a 7kW wallbox in approximately 7.5 hours. While the GSE’s exact charging specs are not confirmed, it is expected to share similar charging capabilities with the standard model.
Interior and Exterior Design
The interior of the Mokka GSE features Alcantara sports seats with integrated headrests, Alcantara trim on door inserts, a squared-off steering wheel, and aluminium pedals. The Mokka GSE is fitted with 20-inch aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels and performance brakes by Alcon.
Vauxhall has added yellow and black GSE logos to the cosmetic changes of the Mokka GSE, along with new 'double hydraulic' shock absorbers, a wider track, and stiffer axles for improved handling. The 10.0-inch digital instrument panel and central touchscreen have been updated with GSE graphics.
Availability and Pricing
Vauxhall will release more details about the Mokka GSE later in 2021, including when it will be available for sale. Prices and UK specifications for the Mokka GSE have yet to be confirmed.
In the world of electric vehicles, the Mokka GSE stands out as a rally-inspired, high-performance SUV that promises to deliver both speed and efficiency. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new model.
