Edmond de Rothschild AM Boosts Quant Investing with New Team

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (AM) is bolstering its quantitative investing capabilities with a new team led by Bruno Taillardat. Joining him are senior quant portfolio managers Xavier Marconnet and Frédéric Girod, set to start on November 1, 2025, in Geneva. The six-person team will complement Edmond de Rothschild AM's traditional active management offerings with a new product range, focusing on news-driven strategies using advanced mathematical models and machine learning. Bruno Taillardat, the new Head of Quantitative portfolio management, brings a 25-year track record in quant investing. Xavier Marconnet, Lead Quantitative portfolio manager, previously led 'Core AI' active equity strategies at Unigestion. Frédéric Girod, Quantitative analyst and portfolio manager, has experience at Koch Supply & Trading and UEFA. With this new team, Edmond de Rothschild AM, which manages €107 billion in assets under management, aims to strengthen its quantitative investing capabilities. CEO Christophe Caspar sees AI and machine learning as increasingly important in this field.
