Dubai's DMCC Sees Surge in Swiss, British Companies as Tech Hub Gains Momentum
DMCC, Dubai's leading business hub, has witnessed significant growth in Swiss and British companies, with a 10% increase over the past year. This expansion reflects Dubai's growing appeal as a global business destination, particularly for technology-led ventures.
DMCC's recent European tour focused on technology, innovation, climate tech, and sustainability, further cementing Dubai's status as a hub for international trade. The tour saw DMCC participate as a Platinum Sponsor at Switzerland's CV Summit in Zurich, a leading conference on AI, blockchain, and digital assets.
The surge in Swiss companies at DMCC is evident, with nearly 450 firms now present, marking a 120% increase in UAE-Swiss non-oil trade in the first half of 2025. This growth is partly driven by companies from Zug joining DMCC to leverage Dubai's strategic location, tax benefits, and global market access. Meanwhile, nearly 200 new British companies have joined DMCC in the last 12 months, bringing the total to almost 2,200.
DMCC's global reach, scalable platforms, and integrated ecosystems have attracted these companies, offering them opportunities in AI, blockchain, climate tech, and sustainability sectors.
DMCC's expansion demonstrates Dubai's growing appeal as a hub for technology-led businesses and international trade. With Swiss and British companies accounting for over 10% of DMCC's member base, the hub contributes significantly to Dubai's GDP and FDI inflows. Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, highlights the opportunities for tech connectivity between the UK, Switzerland, and Dubai, indicating a promising future for these partnerships.
