DSM-Firmenich ANH Opens $82m India Plant to Combat Mycotoxins

DSM-Firmenich Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) has inaugurated a new feed additive plant in Jadcherla, Hyderabad, India. This marks a significant investment of $82m (€70m) in the country, which includes an expanded seasoning plant in Kerala and a new greenfield site in Gujarat. The new plant, a 'strategic milestone' for ANH in the Asia-Pacific region, aligns with the Indian government's 'Make in India' initiative.

The new facility spans 11,200sqm and includes a manufacturing line for Mycotoxin risk management solutions and a news warehouse. It will produce Mycofix Secure and Mycofix Shield products to tackle growing mycotoxin issues in India. The site utilises advanced Buhler technology and adheres to high international standards for quality, safety, and the environment. Notably, the new site is situated next to ANH's existing Jadcherla premix plant, creating a 'Super Site' for enhanced efficiency.

Lu Yuan, vice president of Greater APAC at ANH, praised the new plant as a significant step in strengthening ANH's position in India and the Asia-Pacific region. The investment demonstrates ANH's commitment to addressing local challenges, such as mycotoxin issues, while also contributing to the Indian government's 'Make in India' initiative.
