Device with the name iPhone Air continues to function accurately
The tech giant Apple has introduced a new addition to its iPhone family, the iPhone Air. This device, boasting a sleek design and innovative features, serves as an alternative to the Pro series, offering a unique blend of performance and aesthetics.
The iPhone Air stands out with its thin profile, measuring just 5.64 millimeters thick, significantly slimmer than the standard iPhone 17 at 7.95 millimeters. Weighing in at 165 grams, it's also lighter than its Pro counterparts. The device's frame is crafted from titanium, while the Pro models utilize aluminum.
In terms of photography, the iPhone Air offers a standard wide-angle camera with a 2x optical zoom, with further tele stages relying on digital zoom. On the other hand, the iPhone 17 Pro boasts an 8x optical zoom in "optical quality" with its telephoto lens.
When it comes to display, the iPhone 17 Pro features a superior XDR display with a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, compared to the iPhone Air's display, which is similar to past years' models.
The third generation of AirPods Pro comes with a heart rate sensor and improved noise cancellation, while the iPhone Air does not have an ultra-wide-angle camera.
Apple has introduced a crossbody strap that can be used with various iPhone models, including the Air. The strap's leather alternative, dubbed "Functional Fabric," is made from recycled polyester, offering a finer texture.
The iPhone Air's battery life, after several days of everyday use, has been found to be sufficient. However, it's important to note that battery life may vary based on individual factors such as usage, mobile signal strength, and environmental conditions.
The iPhone Air's battery fills almost the entire housing, with the chip systems housed in the camera hump at the top of the housing, which Apple calls the "Plateau." A flat external battery from Apple can be attached to the iPhone Air using the Magsafe system.
The iPhone Air's battery life is stated to last "all day," with a benchmark of 27 hours of video playback, similar to the iPhone 16 Pro.
Priced at 1,199 euros, the iPhone Air serves as the new entry-level model, replacing the Pro series' previous entry-level device. In 2022, Apple introduced the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, with prices starting at €1,299 for the Pro models in Germany and Austria.
The iPhone Air has been tested for stability and shown resilience under a load of 60 kilograms per square foot. Moreover, the device uses exclusively in-house developed semiconductors for mobile network and Bluetooth connections.
In summary, the iPhone Air offers a thinner, lighter alternative to the Pro series, with a focus on a sleek design, adequate battery life, and a camera system that delivers standard wide-angle photos and 2x optical zoom.
