Data privacy accreditation conferred upon Infosys
Infosys, a leading global consulting and technology services company, has made history by becoming one of the first few firms to earn the accredited certification for the ISO 27701 standard on Privacy Information Management Systems (PIMS). This landmark achievement was presented by Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) South Asia business head, Jagdheesh Manian.
The ISO 27701 standard, the world's first international standard on PIMS, is designed to help companies manage their data privacy practices effectively. It uses a risk and compliance driven approach, incorporating a mapping against the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), considered the gold standard in data privacy laws.
