Dashverse Raises $13 Million to Boost AI Technology for Mobile Entertainment Production

Dashverse Secures Largest Series A Funding in AI Entertainment Sector

AI-driven entertainment startup, Dashverse, has raised a record-breaking $13 million in a Series A funding round, making it the largest investment in the AI entertainment sector to date. The round was led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from investors Z47 and Stellaris Venture Partners.

Based in India, Dashverse is focused on mobile-first, generative content creation, with a vision to make serialized, bite-sized storytelling the norm. Their ecosystem includes DashReels, a mobile app for microdramas that surpassed 5 million downloads within a month of launch, Frameo.AI, a generative video creation studio, Dashtoon, a mobile comics creation platform, and Dashtoon Studio, an AI comic generator.

The funding will primarily be used to strengthen Dashverse’s proprietary AI technology and develop new tools for serialized content production. The company aims to empower creators by reducing dependence on traditional production resources, fostering imagination-driven storytelling on mobile platforms.

CEO Sanidhya Narain stated that content creation is no longer resource-gated but imagination-gated. He believes that generative AI is transforming storytelling in much the same way camera phones democratized content creation on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Dashverse aims to build the creative infrastructure for this transformation, focusing especially on video through DashReels and Frameo.AI, which they see as the biggest market opportunity.

With this funding, Dashverse plans to expand its AI-powered mobile-first content platforms, especially serialized videos, enabling creators worldwide to become one-person production studios. The company aims to scale its user base towards a projected 100 million users within months.

Naman Lahoty, Partner at Stellaris Venture Partners, highlights that Dashverse has built one of the finest applied-AI teams in the country. Abishek Mohan, Principal at Peak XV Partners, believes Dashverse is at the heart of the transformation in the creator economy driven by generative AI. Aakash Kumar, Managing Director at Z47, praises Dashverse for building a powerful engine for mobile-first, AI-native storytelling.
