Corporate commuters in thirty Indian cities, such as Bengaluru and Pune, now have a new dining option with Swiggy's introduction of DeskEats.
Swiggy, the leading Indian food delivery service based in Bangalore, has announced the launch of a new service called DeskEats. This service is designed to cater to the needs of working professionals, providing them with a wide range of food options from over 700,000 items across more than 200,000 restaurants.
Availability and Access
DeskEats is currently available in more than 7,000 tech parks, corporate hubs, and business centers in 30 Indian cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Pune. To access DeskEats, users can simply type "Office" or "Work" in the Swiggy app.
Popular Choices and Collections
The service features themed collections such as "Stress Munchies," "Deadline Desserts," "Value Combos," "Healthy Nibbles," and "One-handed Grabbies." In the Stress Munchies category, Chicken Popcorn was the top choice in Bengaluru. The One-handed Grabbies section accounted for nearly 30% of all DeskEats orders. Salads dominated the Healthy Nibbles collection across cities, while Fries and Garlic Breadsticks were the top picks in the Mumbai and Gurugram regions, respectively.
Corporate Rewards Program
The Corporate Rewards program, which is integrated with DeskEats, offers several benefits. Users can enjoy Rs 225 discounts on food delivery, up to Rs 2,000 off on Dineout bookings, and Rs 100 discounts on Swiggy Instamart purchases. In under three months, the Corporate Rewards program has enrolled over 150,000 employees. It has also reached 14,000 organizations.
DeskEats Initiative
Deepak Maloo, Vice President - Food Strategy, Customer Experience & New Initiatives at Swiggy, stated that DeskEats is designed to match the rhythm of an office day. The service aims to simplify lunchtime decisions for working professionals and provide them with a convenient and efficient way to order food.
While there are no official reports or confirmed information regarding DeskEats outside of India, it is important to note that Swiggy is primarily known for its food delivery app and there is no established brand or central project named DeskEats associated with the company. For more information, it is recommended to contact Swiggy's support or follow their official channels. DeskEats could also be the name of a local or small startup specializing in office food delivery, but not necessarily connected to Swiggy Limited.
