BMW Unveils 2026 M2 CS: Extreme Power, Track Focus

BMW has unveiled the 2026 M2 CS at the Legends of the Autobahn event in California. This model is the most extreme M2 yet, boasting a powerful engine and a track-focused design.

The M2 CS stands out with its aggressive styling. It features a more prominent front splitter, a large ducktail spoiler, and a unique rear diffuser. The car's weight has been reduced by 99 pounds, thanks to extensive use of carbon in the roof, trunk, and interior components. Inside, drivers will find carbon fiber bucket seats, a lightweight carbon fiber center console, and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel. The car's power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission.

The M2 CS is designed with drivers in mind. It debuts a new Velvet Blue BMW Individual paint shade and comes with bronze-painted forged wheels, red-painted brake calipers, and grippy Pirelli tires. Under the hood, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo S58 inline-six engine produces a formidable 523 horsepower. An exclusive walkaround video featuring BMW Product Manager Nick Gerstner provides further details about the M2 CS.

The 2026 BMW M2 CS is a driver-centric, track-focused model that combines aggressive styling with powerful performance. Its official reveal at the Legends of the Autobahn event signals BMW's commitment to producing high-performance vehicles that cater to driving enthusiasts.
