BMW Reports Strong Q3 Sales Recovery After 18 Months of Declines
BMW has reported a significant upturn in sales, marking the first increase in 18 months following five consecutive declines. Despite challenges, the company's third quarter of 2025 showed promising figures.
BMW delivered 588,300 cars in the third quarter, an 8.8% increase from the previous year. This positive trend was echoed in various markets. In the USA, sales rose by 24% to 104,200 cars, defying tariffs imposed by President Trump. In Germany, sales surged by 12% to nearly 73,000 cars, while Europe as a whole saw a 9% increase to 239,600 cars.
The core brand contributed to this success, with a 5.7% increase to 514,600 cars. Mini also performed well, with a 33% increase to 72,400 cars. Even Rolls-Royce saw a 13% increase to 1,304 cars. However, sales in China decreased by 0.4% to 147,100 cars, though this was a significant improvement from the previous year's nearly 30% drop.
BMW's third quarter of 2025 showed a strong recovery, with increased sales in key markets. Despite a slight decrease in China, the overall picture is positive. This turnaround follows a challenging period, including a sales decline in 2024 partly due to brake issues. With this recent performance, BMW looks set to continue its recovery.
