AvePoint Names Max McNamara VP for ANZ as Data Breaches Surge

AvePoint, a leading provider of SaaS solutions for Microsoft 365, has appointed Max McNamara as Vice President and Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand. McNamara, who joined AvePoint last August, will focus on developing and executing strategies for data migration, management, and protection in the region.

The appointment comes at a time when ANZ organizations are increasingly seeking to optimize their SaaS operations and bolster data security. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner reported a 26% increase in notifiable data breaches in the second half of 2022, totaling 497 incidents. AvePoint's full suite of SaaS solutions, offered through its Confidence Platform, aims to address these challenges.

McNamara brings a decade of experience from Antares Solutions to his new role. He will work closely with AvePoint's key partners in the region, primarily top financial services organizations navigating APRA compliance and data security. His focus will be on secure collaboration, compliance, and operational resilience in the financial sector.

Max McNamara's appointment underscores AvePoint's commitment to the ANZ region. With his expertise and AvePoint's comprehensive SaaS solutions, they are well-positioned to help organizations optimize their SaaS operations and protect their data in an increasingly digital landscape.
