Astronomical marvel unveiled by Vacheron Constantin after 270 years, featuring 270 celestial bodies
In the world of watchmaking, Vacheron Constantin has made a significant stride with the introduction of the Métiers d'Art - Tribute to the Quest of Time. This masterpiece, a testament to the Swiss watchmaker's commitment to craftsmanship and innovation, is a remarkable innovation in the industry, showcasing advanced technical prowess.
The dial of this timepiece is a spectacle in itself. It features a double retrograde display, offering the option to view hours and minutes continuously or at the press of a button. The dial also includes a three-dimensional moon phase display, showcasing the exact age of the moon. A gold-toned, patinated figure stands tall on the dial, using its arms as hands to indicate hours and minutes.
The heart of the Métiers d'Art - Tribute to the Quest of Time is the caliber 3670, a new manual-winding movement. This intricate mechanism offers a power reserve of six days at a frequency of five Hertz. The caliber 3670 features two modes of time display and a novel regulator for synchronizing the retrograde displays. It contains 512 components and is 34 millimeters in diameter, 7.8 millimeters in height.
The caliber 3670 also boasts a correction system for the moon phase that can be activated at any time without damaging the movement. The caseback of the watch features a map showing the constellations in real-time, remaining accurate to within one day for 9,130 years.
The Métiers d'Art - Tribute to the Quest of Time is a limited edition, with only 20 pieces available worldwide. It comes with a deep blue alligator leather strap with a hand-stitched gold edge, adding a touch of elegance to the timepiece.
The creation of the Métiers d'Art - Tribute to the Quest of Time is inspired by the monumental astronomical clock "La Quête du Temps," which was created by Vacheron Constantin in collaboration with the Louvre Museum for their 270th anniversary celebration.
This exceptional timepiece is a result of three years of dedicated work, leading to four patent applications. The Métiers d'Art - Tribute to the Quest of Time is not just a new watch, but a complete work of art that is likely to outshine most of its competitors.
Vacheron Constantin, a Geneva-based watch manufacture, is celebrating its 270-year anniversary with the creation of this masterpiece. The Métiers d'Art - Tribute to the Quest of Time is exclusively available in Vacheron Constantin boutiques. The price of this exquisite timepiece is communicated upon request.
