Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs are setting a new standard in personal computing, offering an array of AI-powered features that surpass the capabilities available on standard Windows 11 PCs. Here's a closer look at these innovative advancements.

AI-Driven System Settings

An AI agent in the Windows Settings app allows Copilot+ PC users to change system settings using natural language commands. This feature is currently rolling out first on Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs and is expanding to Intel and AMD Copilot+ devices. By understanding plain English requests, this feature simplifies adjusting settings without the need for manual navigation.

Advanced Photo Editing

The Relight tool, available initially on Snapdragon-based Copilot+ PCs, is an immersive photo-editing feature that lets users add up to three virtual light sources to photos, simulating professional lighting with a single click. Perfect Screenshots with AI

The Perfect screenshot feature in Snipping Tool uses AI to precisely capture content. Users can select the Perfect screenshot button or press and hold the Control key when selecting a region to use this feature.

Availability

Copilot Vision is currently available in the United States for Copilot+ PCs, with plans to expand to other regions in the future. The sticker generator is now available on all Copilot+ PCs, and Object select, which allows isolating a subject from an image, is coming soon to Paint.

In contrast, regular Windows 11 PCs receive some AI features such as a color picker in Snipping Tool and incremental rollout of some AI improvements but lack the full suite of Copilot-exclusive AI powers like the natural language Settings agent and advanced photo lighting or screen analysis tools.

Copilot Vision is free to use with Microsoft Edge, but a Copilot Pro subscription is required to extend the feature to other apps. Quick machine recovery, which detects and fixes issues that can appear on a PC following an unexpected restart, is also available on Copilot+ PCs.
