ARPCE Boosts Congo's Digital Future: Mission to France Unveils Advanced Satellite Comms

ARPCE, the Congolese regulatory authority for electronic communications, recently conducted a strategic mission in France. The team visited the Rambouillet teleport in Yvelines, aiming to understand advanced satellite communications infrastructure. The mission, held from September 22 to 24, 2025, focused on telecommunications satellites and included discussions with Eutelsat representatives.

The ARPCE team, led by an international expert from COGICOM, participated in specialized training sessions. These covered crucial aspects such as satellite constellation operations, transmission security, spectrum management, and adapting regulatory frameworks to technological changes. The training aimed to enhance technical and regulatory knowledge regarding next-generation Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and broadband internet expansion.

Key areas of discussion during the mission included improving public access to digital networks, ensuring transmission security, and updating regulatory frameworks to accommodate emerging technologies. ARPCE, committed to promoting modern and effective regulation, fosters innovation, supports satellite deployment, and contributes to digital development in the Republic of Congo.
