Aristocrat Acquires Awager to Boost US Expansion
Aristocrat Leisure has revealed plans to acquire Awager, an omnichannel slot streaming provider, for an undisclosed sum. The move is part of Aristocrat's ongoing strategic initiatives and is expected to accelerate Awager's expansion into the broader American market.
Aristocrat's share price has seen a cautious positive response to the acquisition announcement, trading at AU$68.95 (US$45.45) as of 16:10 BST, marking a 1.32% decline since the start of the session.
Aristocrat recently bolstered its leadership team, appointing Dylan Slaney as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive and Michael Daly as Senior Vice President. However, the new CEO for Aristocrat Interactive has not been named, as the previous CEO, Moti Malul, has stepped down and will depart in March 2026. Former Catena Media CEO Michael Daly has been appointed to a new SVP role within Aristocrat.
Awager, headquartered in Israel with operations across Israel, the US, and Eastern Europe, focuses on creating a seamless omnichannel experience that bridges online and land-based gaming. The company boosts player engagement through third-party content across a unified digital platform.
Aristocrat's acquisition of Awager follows a series of strategic initiatives, including a partnership with the Michigan Lottery and an agreement with the Plaza Hotel & Casino. The deal is expected to strengthen Aristocrat's position in the American gaming industry and accelerate Awager's expansion into the US market.
