Apple Music Launches Rival Service Importer
Apple Music has introduced a new feature enabling users to import their music libraries from competing streaming services like Spotify and YouTube Music. The process is straightforward and efficient, utilizing a third-party service called Songshift.
To employ this feature, users require an Apple Music account and the latest version of iOS or the Android Apple Music app. The process involves selecting a service, logging into the target account, and choosing what to import - all songs and albums or all playlists.
This new feature is presently available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Apple Music will mirror the user's library based on their choices.
Apple Music's library import feature uses a third-party service, making it easy and efficient to migrate from other platforms. Most major music streaming services, including Spotify and YouTube Music, offer similar ways to transfer libraries using third-party services. Apple's feature is a welcome addition for users considering a switch to Apple Music.
