Get ready, Star Wars fans! The thrilling world of anime-centric adventures is returning, and it's coming straight from the heart of Japan with the latest volume of Star Wars: Visions. We recently got our first look at what's in store at Star Wars Celebration Japan.

During the event in Tokyo, Lucasfilm unveiled a sneak peek of Visions Volume 3, much to the delight of fans gathered there. This upcoming volume will feature an eclectic mix of nine Japanese animation studios, each offering their individual perspective and vision for the galaxy far, far away. Expect some familiar stories making a comeback, as well, with tales from the first volume set to continue and evolve. The teaser has yet to be made available online, but it was shared via the official Star Wars Celebration livestream. Take a look below!

The lineup of studios for Visions 3 includes a mix of both old and new talent. Returning studios like Kamikaze Douga (Batman Ninja), with its popular short "The Duel" featuring the ex-Sith Ronin, will be back, as will Trigger (Promare, Gridman, Kill La Kill, Dynazenon, and more), which worked on "The Twins" and "The Elder." Production I.G., responsible for the critically acclaimed "Ghost in the Shell," is also back, plus Kinema Citrus (Made in Abyss), which contributed "The Village Bridge." Three of the previous volume's shorts will receive sequels: "The Duel: Payback," "The Village Bride: The Lost Ones," and "The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope."

Joining the roster are some standalone newcomers: David Production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Spy x Family), Polygon Pictures (Transformers Prime, Tron: Uprising, recognized in Star Wars for work on Clone Wars and Resistance), and Project Studio Q (an CG house derived from Evangelion and Gundam GQuuuuuquu studio Khara after their work on Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time).

In addition to the main series, a new extended format spin-off, Star Wars Visions Presents, will return to previously explored stories and worlds, delving deeper in a longer format. This new series will see returning director Kenji Kamiyama continue his work on The Ninth Jedi, focusing on protagonist Kara in an all-new story.

Mark your calendars, Star Wars fans! Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 graces our screens on October 29. Star Wars Visions Presents: The Ninth Jedi will stream sometime in 2026.
