Airtel Guarantees Secure Connections in New Commercial

Airtel introduces 'The Safe Network', a defensive measure against online scams that blocks potentially hazardous links in real time. The innovative service is the result of a collaborative effort between Airtel, indie agency Fundamental, and Equinox Films.

The service emphasizes user-friendliness, assuring customers they don't need to download any extra apps or pay additional fees for protection. Instead, The Safe Network operates covertly in the background, examining internet traffic and identifying malicious links.

To achieve this, the system monitors numerous data streams, such as web page requests, user browsing activity, and link patterns. Potentially harmful links are checked against Airtel's internal database as well as global threat intelligence feeds.

If a link is deemed dangerous, the user will be redirected away from the suspicious site to an alert page. The AI-driven system is also designed to grow smarter over time, learning from new threats and adjusting its analysis accordingly.

Airtel's The Safe Network is platform-agnostic, providing protection across multiple channels, including chat apps, social media, email, browsers, and SMS. By proactively blocking access to harmful sites and issuing clear warnings, the service aims to instill confidence in users who are worried about financial fraud, spam calls, malicious links, and cyber scams.

After successful trials, the AI tool boasts an impressive level of accuracy in identifying and blocking fraudulent sites, minimizing false positives and maximizing user protection.

The AI tool checks URLs against Airtel's internal database and global threat intelligence feeds containing the latest scam and phishing domain information. By examining multiple threat indicators, such as suspicious link patterns, URL construction, IP reputation of hosting servers, user interaction anomalies, and any unusual behavior patterns, the AI system successfully identifies potentially fraudulent sites. If a link is deemed malicious, access to the site is immediately blocked, and the user is redirected to an alert page explaining the reason for the block and warning about potential threats. The AI system also employs machine learning to improve its accuracy by evolving and learning from new threats and user interactions dynamically.
