Rockin' Digital Revolution in Thuringia's Backyard
Accelerating Digitalization Agenda in Thuringia, as per Schuetz's Plans - Aiming for Faster Digital Transformation in Thuringia: Schütz's Perspective
Steffen Schutz, Thuringia's lively Infrastructure Minister, is all about pushin' forward with the digitalization of the administration and public joints in this Free State. That's right, he's talkin' 'bout a digital revolution, and he ain't playin' around. The spark behind this change is a badass, tech-savvy hub callin' itself the GovTech Campus, tucked away in Erfurt, Central Germany. New kid on the block and the first in Mitteldeutschland!
This puppy's gonna be a hangout for tech innovations, digital education, and networking with the A-list players in the digitalization game. The goal? Developing faster, more aimed digital services that'll make life easier as hell for Thuringia's citizens and biz-kids.
What's the big plan, you ask? Well, Steffen's got his heart set on collab'n with neighborin' federal states, like Bavaria, that's been a part of the GovTech Campus Deutschland e.V. since August 2024. This badass association provides the hardware for innovation projects hailin' from the state and administration and sets up tech partners from IT service providers to research dudes like the Fraunhofer Institute. Bundle that know-how, says Steffen.
Research projects and the Digital Advisory Board
So, what's gonna go down in this Erfurt campus? They'll be workin' on developin' methods and tools that'll make laws and admin services friendlier with the digital world and less of a bureaucrazy nightmare. That's all thanks to three research projects from the University of Jena in the E-Government field. No brains left behind!
The GovTech Campus Deutschland e.V. offers a playground for the German and European tech community, state, and municipal governments to work together. Squeaky clean and politician-approved. This week, Thuringia's very own Digital Advisory Board finally held its first meeting. This bad ass team of 19 experts will be advising the state government for the next two years.
