AI Company Dropzone raised $37 million in Series B funding to progress the development of security operations center (SOC) analysts.
Dropzone AI, a pioneering company in the field of AI-native security platforms, has announced a successful Series B funding round of $37 million. The lead investor in this round was Theory Ventures, reflecting confidence in Dropzone AI’s autonomous security technology.
The funding will primarily be used to expand Dropzone AI's autonomous SOC analyst platform, grow its library of autonomous cybersecurity AI agents, accelerate global expansion, and deepen integrations with existing security ecosystems. The aim is to supercharge the company’s AI-driven security operations center (SOC) capabilities by enhancing its autonomous agents and widening its market reach.
The performance of Dropzone AI's SOC analysts is exceptional, delivering detailed, high-fidelity alerts within minutes. This AI-based approach reduces security risks, operational costs, and analyst burnout, making it an attractive solution for businesses facing staffing shortages, as indicated by a report showing that 67% of cybersecurity professionals face such shortages.
Dropzone AI's solution is already in production across dozens of businesses, including UiPath, Zapier, and Pipe, and has been validated by some of the world's largest enterprises and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). The company's sales have taken off as they've established their position as a trusted category leader.
The focus of the funding will also be on developing specialized autonomous AI agents and strengthening ecosystem partnerships. The company plans to boost the autonomous SOC analyst platform to improve security alert handling capabilities, expand and extend the inventory of autonomous cybersecurity agents deployed for SOC operations, and deepen integrations with customer security technology platforms to ensure seamless operations.
Dropzone AI's efforts are aimed at shaping what's next in AI-native security platforms. The change from manpower-bound SOC teams to AI-backed teams is essential, according to Edward Wu, Founder and CEO of Dropzone AI. The company's solution enhances security for over 100 enterprises, and with this new funding, they aim to increase their presence and adoption internationally.
Tomasz Tunguz, General Partner at Theory, is excited to double down in the Series B to further accelerate Dropzone's efforts. Madrona, Decibel Ventures, Pioneer Square Labs, and IQT also participated in the funding round. Dropzone AI was recognized in the 2025 Gartner Hype Cycle for Security Operations, further solidifying its position as a key player in the AI-driven security landscape.
