AeroCloud Secures $12.6M for Airport Management Software Expansion

AeroCloud, a UK-based startup, has secured $12.6 million in Series A funding. The company aims to expand its airport management software, currently used by 42 airports worldwide, including Manchester, Eindhoven, Tampa International, and John Wayne Airport.

AeroCloud's platform employs AI and machine learning to streamline airport operations. It offers automated gate allocation and spare gate capacity optimization, boosting revenue. The startup plans to double its headcount to 80 and increase its customer base to over 100 airports by the end of 2023.

Founded in 2019, AeroCloud serves additional customers in the USA, including airlines and aviation service providers. Its goal is to become the world's largest airport operations software provider, serving over 150 million passengers annually. The funding round was led by Stage 2 Capital, with participation from Triple Point Ventures, I2BF Global Ventures, Praetura Ventures, Playfair Capital, and Haatch.

AeroCloud's successful funding round will fuel its expansion and challenge established competitors. With its innovative software, the startup is poised to significantly impact the global airport management sector.
