Wedbush Updates IVES AI 30 List, Adding CrowdStrike, Roblox, GE Vernova, and Nebius

The Wedbush research team, led by analyst Daniel Ives, has recently updated the IVES AI 30 list, a group of 30 tech companies believed to define the future of the AI theme over the coming years. The additions and removals from the list are based on each company's AI-related growth potential, leadership changes, acquisition developments, and strength in AI infrastructure and software monetization.

New additions to the IVES AI 30 list include CrowdStrike, Roblox, GE Vernova, and Nebius. CrowdStrike's expanding AI-driven security modules and Roblox's AI-powered discovery features that boost user engagement and monetization have made them attractive additions. GE Vernova fits due to its role in data-center electrification infrastructure, while Nebius is relevant for its cloud AI infrastructure amid capacity constraints.

On the other hand, CyberArk, C3.ai, Adobe, and Elastic have been removed from the IVES AI 30 list. CyberArk was removed following Palo Alto Networks' announced acquisition, which folds CyberArk’s AI security capabilities into a broader entity. C3.ai experienced leadership shifts and sales organization changes, reducing confidence in its AI ramp. Adobe and Elastic were seen as having slower AI ramp-ups and soft demand in parts of their product roadmaps.

The new ETF focused on AI, named the Dan Ives Wedbush AI Revolution ETF, was launched by Wedbush. The list updates and the ETF reflect Wedbush’s dynamic view on which companies will be central to AI software, infrastructure, and monetization themes in the coming years.

Among the new additions, CrowdStrike has been recognised for its continued adoption of data protection and AI technologies, particularly with the Charlotte AI module. Nebius' robust demand for AI infrastructure and plans to increase its data center capacity over the coming years have also secured its place on the list.

Some notable removals from the list include C3.ai, whose recent sales organization restructuring and CEO Thomas Siebel stepping down had a major impact on the company's financials. Elastic was removed due to a slowdown in the public sector, despite incremental funding for software and AI improvements across the federal government. Adobe was removed due to concerns about its product portfolio being disrupted by AI, which may impact the company's growth and free cash flow.

The IVES AI 30 list continues to serve as a valuable resource for investors seeking to capitalise on the future of AI technology.

The government's investments in technology, such as AI infrastructure, are expected to boost demand for companies like Nebius, as they expand their data center capacity. The business strategy of CrowdStrike involves investing in data protection and AI technologies, which aligns with the growing focus on security in governmental entities.
